Welcome and enjoy Xx

I am no expert on Fundraising and most of my fundraising has been with School/Church type Community Events .
I know how hard it is to draw people to your events and raise plenty of funds for your cause.  I have put together some ideas on some Stalls and Individual Fundraisers for these events. I will keep adding to them and I hope that you too will send me your ideas so that I can write a post on them and share them with others .

The most important thing when organizing a event is TIME.  Plan as far ahead as you can . The more time you have to plan the better the event.

People... Ask for help. Do not try to do it all on your own,the more people who help the less stress on yourself.

Check out what events are in your area, when and where they are happening (no point having two fairs on the same day). Plan your event to fit around the seasons (Easter Fair, Autumn Bingo).

Snoop!! Visit other galas and fundraising events, look at what stalls most people are stood at. Check out the stalls and pick up ideas/contact details for your event.

Get as much as you can for FREE.  Ask everyone and anyone if they could please donate a item towards your fundraising event.  The more you get free the more profit for your Good Cause.

Don't overspend, set your budget and stick to it.  It is so easy to overspend and eat into your profit.  Give each stall a set amount and stick to it.

Always have a headed letter/signed from the person in charge of the organization you are raising funds for.  When buying items for the event ask the manager in the shop if you can have a discount (most will ask to see a headed letter confirming who you are). Every little bit of discount helps you raise more.

Enjoy Fundraising!  Only be involved if you are enjoying being involved.  Going to a event where people are not enjoying being involved will show and it will hit you in the place that you do not want it to hit........Funds.....Happy people make a great atmosphere and this makes a great fundraising event and so make lots of funds for your cause.
